This agreement sets out the terms for boarding your dog with The Long Dog Co. Complete the details below, read the terms, and sign at the bottom. When you submit, a signed copy is emailed to us and covers all current and future stays unless we replace it.

2 · Cancellation Policy

Because The Long Dog Co. keeps its numbers small and only takes a few dogs at a time, a late cancellation usually means another family has already been turned away. The terms below are meant to be fair both ways. No deposit is required, and you only pay after your dog's stay.

A booking is considered confirmed once dates are agreed to and this agreement is signed (or, for returning clients with this agreement already on file, once dates are verbally confirmed).

A late-cancellation fee equal to one (1) night's boarding rate, invoiced after the reserved date.

Holiday & peak periods

These dates fill quickly and are difficult to rebook: Thanksgiving week · December 20 – January 2 · July 4th week · Memorial Day weekend · Labor Day weekend.

7+ days before

Cancel at no charge.

Within 7 days, or no-show

A late-cancellation fee equal to two (2) nights' boarding rate, invoiced after the reserved date.

Any late-cancellation fee is billed the same way as a stay (after the fact) and is due on the same terms as a regular invoice.

3 · Rates & Payment

There is no deposit. Your nightly rate is confirmed by The Long Dog Co. when we agree on dates, so you don't need to enter it here. Payment for the stay (plus any applicable late-cancellation fee) is invoiced after your dog goes home and is due upon receipt. You can pay by Venmo, Cash App, Apple Pay, or credit/debit card (processed securely through Stripe). A two-night minimum applies during holiday and peak periods.

4 · Feeding, Vaccinations & Health

Your dog must be current on Rabies, DHPP (Distemper), and Bordetella, with proof provided before the first stay. Dogs must arrive free of fleas, ticks, and any contagious illness. Please share your dog’s feeding routine and any medical conditions, allergies, or medications below.

5 · Veterinary & Emergency Care

If your dog becomes ill or injured during the stay and you cannot be reached, you authorize The Long Dog Co. to seek veterinary care on your behalf. You agree to be responsible for all veterinary costs incurred. We will make every reasonable effort to reach you and your listed emergency contact first.

6 · Behavior & Liability

You confirm your dog has no history of aggression toward people or other animals. Dogs showing aggression may be safely separated, and you may be asked to arrange early pickup.
You are responsible for any property damage or injury caused by your dog during the stay.
The Long Dog Co. provides attentive, in-home care but is not liable for illness, injury, or escape that occurs despite reasonable care.
Personal belongings (beds, leashes, toys) are sent at your own risk; we cannot guarantee against normal wear or loss.

7 · Photo Consent (optional)

8 · Acknowledgment & Signature

I have read and agree to the terms of this Boarding Agreement, including the Cancellation Policy in Section 2.
