Long dogs we’ve loved.

A few of the wonderful little guests who’ve stayed with us. Every one comes home happy, tired, and a little spoiled, and we treat each like our own.

Louise, a small dog who boards at The Long Dog Co.
Guest · long stay traveler

Louise

Louise is a firecracker, about ten pounds of pure love and excitement. She loves nothing more than tearing around the yard with the other dogs, then curling up like she owns the place. We’ve known her since she was a puppy, and she’s been coming back ever since. With us is her home away from home.

A note from us

“Watching Louise grow up from a tiny puppy has been one of our great joys. She arrives like she never left, ten pounds of pure delight, and she has a way of making the whole house feel a little happier.”

Guest · easygoing Cavalier

Buddy

Buddy is living proof this house was never just for Dachshunds. He’s a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and about the most laid-back little guy you’ll meet, with no quirks to speak of beyond a deep love of lazing around and sleeping the day away. Calm, gentle, and easy to love, exactly the kind of small dog who’s always welcome here.

A note from us

“Buddy is the gentlest houseguest a person could ask for. He found a sunny spot on day one and melted right in, and a calm, sweet Cavalier like him is welcome here any time.”

Milo the dachshund
Guest · regular visitor

Milo

Here’s a fun fact: Milo shares the same mom and dad as Fig (the two were littermates), and he and Susie share a dad, too. Milo is a complete diva. He adores his toys and avoids the rain and a muddy paw at all costs. His idea of a perfect day is a good meal followed by serious couch-potato time with his favorite toy.

A note from us

“Milo keeps us laughing. He’ll do anything to stay clean and dry, then melt into the couch with his favorite toy like the little prince he is. Having a piece of Fig’s family with us makes every one of his stays feel extra special.”

Guest · holiday-stay Pomsky

Draco

Ah yes, the famous Draco, the one and only Pomsky in the bunch. He’s quite the character, as you can probably tell, and we’re completely convinced he’s a human hiding in a dog’s body. He holiday-stays with us a few times a year and somehow runs the whole place within an hour of arriving.

A note from us

“Draco is a one-of-a-kind. He’s got more personality than dogs twice his size, and every stay comes with a little comedy and a lot of charm. There’s truly no one quite like him, and we’re lucky he picks us when he travels.”

Tito, a boarding guest at The Long Dog Co.
Guest · meet & greet grad

Tito

Tito is a complete love bug. He grew up alongside an older brother, Willy (a Dachshund too), who taught him plenty, not least the big, generous love he shares with everyone he meets. And like any good little brother, Tito loves to pretend he rules the house.

A note from us

“Tito wins everyone over the moment he walks in. He carries all the warmth Willy taught him, and that big-little-brother confidence makes us smile every single visit. He may think he runs the place, and honestly, we let him.”

Guest · weekly boarder

Milly

We’ve known Milly since she was a puppy, too. She’s famous around here for her wild, crazy hair and her endless love of chasing tennis balls. When the playing’s done, all she wants is to be close to you, usually while claiming most of the couch for herself.

A note from us

“Watching Milly grow up has been such a treat. That crazy hair and those happy tennis-ball sprints are pure joy, and there’s nothing sweeter than the moment she finally flops down beside you to take over the couch. She’s one of a kind.”
